1- ODTÜ ABD’ye nasıl dahil olabilirim? / How can I join ODTÜ ABD?ODTÜ ABD Whatsapp gruplarına sitemizdeki membership kısmına tıklayıp formu doldurarak üye olabilirsiniz. / You can join the METU USA WhatsApp groups by clicking on the Membership section on our website and filling out the form.
2- Nasıl burs verebilirim? / How can I give a scholarship?
Sitemizin bursary kısmına tıklayarak BTF üzerinden açtığımız  genel bağış sayfamıza bağış yapabilirsiniz. Buna ek olarak eyalet temsilcilerimizin açtığı kampanyalara da bağışlarınızı yapabilirsiniz. Tüm kampanyalar BTF üzerinden açıldığından bağışların hepsi aynı yere ulaşıyor. / You can make a donation to our general fundraising page created through BTF by clicking on the Bursary section of our website. In addition, you can also contribute to campaigns launched by our state representatives. Since all campaigns are set up through BTF, all donations go to the same place.
3- Yaptığım bağış nereye gidiyor? / Where does my donation go?
Bağış sayfalarımızın hepsi BTF üzerinden açılıyor. BTF üzerinden açılan sayfalarda toplanan bağışların tamamı ODTÜ İstanbul Mezunlar Derneği’ne ODTÜ öğrencilerine aylık burs olarak verilmek üzere gitmektedir. Bu şekilde en güvenilir ve en kısa yolla öğrencilere destek olmuş oluyoruz. / All of our donation pages are hosted through BTF. All donations collected via BTF go directly to the ODTÜ İstanbul Alumni Association to fund monthly scholarships for ODTÜ students. This way, we provide support to students in the most reliable and direct way possible.
4- ODTÜ ABD’nin Amerika içinde okuyan öğrencilere burs desteği var mı? / Does METU USA provide scholarships for students studying in the U.S.?
Hayır, maalesef ODTÜ ABD’nin Amerika içinde SUNY, Yüksek Lisans veya Doktora yapan öğrencilere bir burs destek programı bulunmamaktadır. Bu konu ile ilgili bir proje geliştirme fikriniz bize ulaşabilirsiniz (odtuabd@gmail.com) /No, unfortunately, METU USA does not currently have a scholarship program for students studying in the U.S., including SUNY, Master’s, or PhD programs. If you have an idea for a project related to this, you can reach out to us at odtuabd@gmail.com.

5- ODTÜ ABD’nin başka projeleri var mı? Varsa nasıl dahil olabilirim? / Does METU USA have other projects? If so, how can I get involved?
Evet ODTÜ ABD’nin başka projeleri de var. Bunlardan biri mentorluk projesi. Her yıl Ağustos ayında başvurularını açan ODTÜ ABD Mentorluk projemizde menti olup mentorluk desteği alabilirsiniz veya mentor olup ODTÜ öğrencilerine veya mezunlarına mentorluk yapabilirsiniz. Mentor olmak için öncelikle 15 dakikalık mentor adayı ön görüşmesine katılmanız, daha sonra da Eylül ayı boyunca EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) akrediteli online eğitim programımızı her yıl belirlenen cüzi bir ücret karşılığında tamamlamanız gerekmektedir. Program sonunda EMCC sertifikalı bir mentor olarak ODTÜ ABD de dahil olmak üzere her yerde mentorluk yapabilirsiniz. / Yes, METU USA has other projects. One of them is the Mentoring Program. Each year in August, applications open for the METU USA MentoringProgram. You can join as a mentee to receive mentorship support, or as a mentor to provide guidance to METU students or alumni. 

To become a mentor, you first need to participate in a 15-minute preliminary mentor interview, and then complete our EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) accredited online training program throughout September for a small fee. At the end of the program, you can serve as an EMCC-certified mentor anywhere, including at METU USA.

6- ODTÜ ABD Mentorluk projesinde mentorluk eğitimi aldım ve mentor oldum. Gelecek yıl tekrar mentor olmak istersem tekrar eğitim almam gerekir mi? / I received mentoring training and became a mentor in the METU USA Mentoring Program. Do I need to take the training again if I want to be a mentor next year?Hayır, eğitimi bir defa almanız yeterlidir. Sertifikanızı her yıl yenilemenize gerek yoktur. /No, the training only needs to be completed once. You do not need to renew your certificate every year. 
7- ODTÜ ABD Mentorluk projesinde menti olmak istiyorum. Gereklilikler nelerdir? / I want to be a mentee in the METU USA Mentoring Program. What are the requirements?Mentilerimiz için program ücretsizdir. Mentilerimiz bir eğitimden geçmezler, yalnızca bir menti adayı  ön görüşmesine ve bir de oryantasyon sürecine dahil olurlar. Program bitiminde katılım sertifikası alırlar. Menti başvurusu yapmak için tek koşulumuz ODTÜ mezunu olmanızdır, menti olmak için ise menti ön görüşmesine katılmanız ve oryantasyon sürecini tamamlamanız gerekir. / The program is free for mentees. Mentees do not take any training; they only participate in a preliminary mentee interview and an orientation process. At the end of the program, they receive a certificate of completion. The only requirement to apply as a mentee is to be a METU graduate. To become a mentee, you need to attend the preliminary interview and complete the orientation process.
8- Hem menti hem mentor olabilir miyim? / Can I be both a mentee and a mentor?
Evet. Bir mentor ve bir de menti olarak iki ayrı başvuru yapmanız gerekir. Hem mentorluk eğitimimizi tamamlayıp mentor olabilir hem de ayrıca menti başvurusunda bulunup menti oryantasyonumuzu tamamlayarak menti olabilirsiniz. / Yes. You need to submit two separate applications: one to become a mentor (including completing the mentorship training) and another to become a mentee (including completing the mentee orientation). This way, you can participate as both a mentor and a mentee.
